Did you know that the imressionist Rory Bremner is fluent in French and German? His love of languages is clearly a good foundation for the variety of accents he churns out, but he's put it to further use as well: developing a sideline in translating operas. He has translated Bizet's Carmen and Kurt Weill's Der Silbersee (The Silver Lake) for smaller companies. He finds this type of work very fulfilling.
